I have to say, of all the jumping around in time, people coming back to life and trying to keep track of
who has what powers now, Heroes seaons 3 has to be the most confusing to date. For instance – why has Suresh become Brundel-fly, and why has Peter forgotten all about that Irish bird he loves, yaddayaddayadda?
Heroes can get away with a little confusion because you know that all or at least most of this will be resolved by the season’s end. Lost however, crossed that line long ago (I still bloody watch it if it’s on though, gaah!). One thing really bugs me about Heroes though, and this guy said it best – why oh why has Adam Monroe been given such a crap death? Adam was the lead villain of the second series (and I did enjoy this, though others thought it was too slow and expositiony) and in the last episode (to be shown on BBC, anyway) was disposed of so brashly. The new guy (Petrelli senior, apparently, in a Star Warsy-esque twist) reduced Adam to dust without a second thought. All that cool character build-up, Hiro finally having a super-cool sword-wielding adversary, there being a cool back story developed in series two. Why exhumed the coolest villain if you’re not gonna use him? besides, the only thing Adam was really worried about was being shot in the head (I seem to remember him mentioning this in the second series once or twice) so at least if you’re going to kill him off do it by preferably cutting off his head after an epic and well choreographed fight against Hiro. Ho hum, maybe he’ll come back (doubt it though). Anyway, here’s a pic of him crumbling (or not, thank previous hosts for helping to lose my pics!)
…and a picture of the “villains”. I don’t really care about any of these new ones. Who is the guy with the tash(?) anyway? top-right I mean. Is that Peter or Sylar, or none of the above?
I love Heroes by the way, so don’t think I’m slagging it off! I’m just erm, picking flies!
