Hungry Angry Lonely Tired

It’s a dreary day today – the kind that given the choice, you wouldn’t spend out in the cold and the rain. Unfortunately this morning I had an appointment in the city centre, so I dragged myself onto the bus and had to kill some time beforehand, trudging like a zombie through crowds and shops. I was feeling pretty ill, like I might pass out and five different people tried to stop me for the old “it’ll only take a moment” chat. On my second or third pass I relented and gave the guy wearing a Davey Crockett hat two quid, after telling him I’d just been to the Job Centre and was about to hit some agencies. “For the needy” he said. Surely I’m needy too!

Ah well, it was for charity (apparently) and he wished me well so fair dos I guess. Another guy who I didn’t give anything to caused me to double-take – he looked just like Charlie Prince (Ben Foster) in his shit-scary 3:10 To Yuma role. “I promise you’re not in trouble,” he said, grinning. “How wrong you are,” came my inaudible reply.

All-in-all, I’m glad to be home.

Expect blogs on the new TV series “Being Human” and the film “Valkyrie” to follow shortly.

P.S. I was going to start talking Skins over the next few weeks but I missed the first episode and the first five minutes of the second episode I caught yesterday had me switch off the television and go to bed. No, I didn’t like it.
