So last night I checked out Twitter following a friend’s recommendation and Stephen Fry’s mention on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross (which was very entertaining). For those of you who don’t know – and I only found out yesterday, the premise of Twitter is scarily simple. There’s a text field with space for 140 characters, where you to write what your current status is. I’m interested to see how I get on with it. I’m guessing that the more you use it and use it imaginatively, the more you get out of it. I’m also guessing that it’s a love it or hate it thing, though apparently an awful lot of people are now using it.
In an effort to learn a little more, I stumbled upon TVissimo’s interesting “Twitter and TV – a Good Combination – Making TV More Social” post. It explains how viewers have started to communicate in real time over Twitter concerning the TV programs they’re watching. I’m not sure at the moment why this would be prefereable to using Messenger or other IMs – although the obvious response, and I’m guessing, probably the answer, is that Twitter is less intrusive and clearer to read. I’m looking forward to learning more.

Great tune, and I haven’t seen this video before! I’d recommend the album ‘Their Satanic Majesties Request’ which this is on..
It aint just a Sgt Pepper copy!
I’m not sure if this is the official video or not, it’s pretty cool though, no? I’ll have to check that album out as I don’t actually own any Stones, thanks for the recommend!
