Obama makes history

Today the 44th president of the United States has been inaugurated. (As) If you haven’t heard, Obama is to be the first African-American president. Interestingly Martin Luther King Jr predicted in 1964 that “in less than 40 years” an African-American would achieve the presidency. Not too shabby an estimation. I thought about writing something lengthier but I wasn’t sure what to put. Instead I’m just gonna say bloody good speech and let’s hope you can sort things out Obama, because you’ve made me believe you can!

Welcome to 2009!

This is the first time this year I’ve felt human enough to attempt a blog so forgive me if the subject
matter seems a little weak. I think the (proper) holiday I’ve been threatening for four or so years beckons – a battery recharge is required and no mistake. I know, I know, 2009 has to be the year when I start to act and DO things. Enough of me though, there’s something a lot more important going down…
