There's not a whole lot there at the moment, but I've finally put one of my other projects - "Sisters Noir", live online. I've been toying with the idea since around October/November '08, trying to come up with what exactly I can do with the idea. So far there are a few details on a few actresses (Audrey Hepburn, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Helen Mirren, Marilyn Monroe, Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson). As I said, it's not much, but I do have some big(ger) plans for Sisters Noir and hopefully the few feature articles over the coming months (one being an in-depth discussion on Lara Croft and Tomb Raider in both the movies and the video games). If anyone has any ideas they'd like to share I'd like to hear them. After all, I'd like it to eventually evolve into a sort of community project.
Check it out:

I’ve been toying with the idea since around October/November ‘08, trying to come up with what exactly I can do with it. So far there are a few details on a few actresses (Audrey Hepburn, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Helen Mirren, Marilyn Monroe, Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson). The list of actresses had originally been much larger, but then I worked out there was no way I could write about them all, and even a few would take time (the current info on the actresses still needs fleshing out in a big way). As I said, it’s not much, but I do have some big(ger) plans for Sisters Noir like feature articles over the coming months (one being an in-depth discussion on Lara Croft and Tomb Raider in both the movies and the video games). With these features it should become more of a glossy e-zine rather than a simple list or encyclopedia. If anyone has any ideas they’d like to share I’d like to hear them. After all, I’d like it to evolve into a sort of community project.

Check out Nivellensem Dreams: Burial, an introduction to the sci fi world of Syraw Meridian, based before the blog kicks off.

Today I've been looking up freelance writing jobs on the internet (e.g. blogging for people, article writing etc). From what I can see I'll get next to nothing for hours of work, so I think it's back to the drawing board. I'll keep searching. In other news I'm having a bit of bother knowing how to structure my online actress project Sisters Noir, but hopefully I'll clear that up soon.

We all met up on Sunday (the writer's group I'm in) for a bit of a catch up session and to discuss our writing, which was great. I've got a few new ideas (not all of them mine!) for things to try out - mostly online things that I'll blog about here. I'm hoping to have Sisters Noir, my online cinema project up soon, but the Love in the Time of Zombies site won't be flashing until into 2009 (probably a blessing!)

Well it’s nearly Christmas, which will be nice (hopefully). I’ve been working on getting a bunch more content up on Dwardus Prime, like the gallery pages and bits of Vika Noir.

I’ll probably do a couple of blogs before Christmas, but just in case I forget, have a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous start to 2009!

Today I'm shirking my blogging and fobbing you off with this post about nothing in particular. I've been working on making my site W3C compliant which is a good exercise if you're a budding web developer. I haven't really done much writing in the last few days, and once again the weekend flew by. It's feeling a lot more like winter these days. The clocks went back an hour and confused me, and tonight I got warm and comfy and watched Spooks (ruthless lot!) and Dead Set. I hope to have more updates to the Sandwich Man comic shortly, which is already the favourite of one member (fluke?)! hopefully soon the comic will drive traffic here. What I really need is to populate my website with decent text, Dwardus Prime is a little lacking at present. My two other projects that will appear soon - Love in the Time of Zombies and Sisters Noir will hopefully also generate some interest.
