The Thirty Nine Steps
I’ve decided to create a new site separate from Dwardus Prime to function as a more professional portfolio for my designs and whatnot. It’ll probably be a bit of time before you can actually see any evidence of it, but I’ll drop a link (or two) when it’s online. I’ve decided I want to make the design very film noiry, and the sites banner will have a backdrop depicting the London skyline. Big Ben was the obvious choice for one of the buildings and I think I might even try to draw in a man hanging off one of the hands.
A message from the author
Today I’m shirking my blogging and fobbing you off with this post about nothing in particular. I’ve been working on making my site W3C compliant which is a good exercise if you’re a budding web developer. I haven’t really done much writing in the last few days, and once again the weekend flew by. It’s feeling a lot more like winter these days. The clocks went back an hour and confused me, and tonight I got warm and comfy and watched Spooks (ruthless lot!) and Dead Set. I hope to have more updates to the Sandwich Man comic shortly, which is already the favourite of one member (fluke?)! hopefully soon the comic will drive traffic here. What I really need is to populate my website with decent text, Dwardus Prime is a little lacking at present. My two other projects that will appear soon – Love in the Time of Zombies and Sisters Noir will hopefully also generate some interest.
Spooks Trailers
The new BBC Spooks website is up and with it, the pulse-pounding tv trailer and an interview with Armitage on his new role as Lucas North. Enjoy!
Spooks
Yesterday I went to Exeter with the folks for a spot of shopping and then some food and drink. I like Exeter – good shops, a quay and a nice cathedral. Everyone seems a little bit more dignified than they are here too (which isn’t particularly hard). I don’t know if there are really more nice women than there are here or whether that’s just the Paperchase = chick-magnet factor talking. Hmm.
