When I was on my movie-hunt yesterday searching for stuff about Scream 4 and the next Jurassic Park film (and also watching Air Force One on TV!) I came across a few good blogs, including ABC News Articulate, featuring “Movie Minutiae” posts on movies like Jaws and Waterworld. I like both of these sea tales for different reasons, despite the fact that the latter had the cack kicked out of it.

There are two new ways to read books. First of all, there’s Google Book Search, which allows readers to find and read public domain books on-screen. As an author, you may also provide digital .pdf versions of your own works or sample/preview chapters and tables of contents. Books that are out of copyright like Peter Pan can be found in the book search’s ever growing library.

Aren’t Orange Wednesday’s good? Especially when you go and see something funny and engaging which takes you out of yourself for a couple of hours.
Tropic Thunder has a brilliant ensemble cast and features one of my favourite actors, Robert Downey Jr. It pays homage to films like Platoon and Apocalypse Now, and it is laugh-out-loud funny.

I mention in the title up at the top of the page that this blog features writing. Up until this point that has been a massive fib – all I’ve really done is talk about cinema and music. I am doing a fair bit of writing when I’m not 9-5ing though, honest!

This made me laugh. Swatch have made 22 watches based on bad guys from each of the Bond films. I really like this idea, and seeing as how I don’t have a functioning watch anymore I reckon a Goldfinger or Moonraker would do me a world of good.
